Fairy House!

Roxie is my toy poodle! She is such a little love! I am not normally a small dog person, I usually like big dogs! But how can you resist that face! I think she is a little put out because she is not quite sure what to do with the two new kittens that have been living at the farm Snowball and Tigger! They are really loveable too! I think Roxie isn't quite sure about them yet! Someone dropped the two kittens off on a dock at a boatyard where my sister Linda works and she took care of them until they were old enought to eat on their own and then she brought them to my father at the farm! They love it here!

Well it has been a very busy couple of days! The kids have built a fairy house with Ms, Stacey! They have been looking for fairies ever since! It really looks cool! The kids put moss around the front yard and sticks for a fence they have a grass thatch roof decorated with flowers and they even have a bed for the fairies to sleep in. They have had a ball creating this! They even put in a stone walkway! I should have them plan out my house! it's just really great to see their little faces light up with the mere thought of fairies cohabiting in their little creation! Great job Ms. Stacey!

I was lucky enough to have my sister Michelle come and help me make some grape jelly and also some hot pepper jelly!
we really have had fun making it! It is quite the process! Michelle did a great job stirring the batches constantly. I'm not quite sure why she puts up with me, if everything isn't quite perfect I freak-out a little...i am working on that though..

The pigs are now in the freezer I had some sausage for breakfast and a pork chop for dinner ..man there is nothing like fresh meat. Nothing like in the stores. I also got more tomatoes and eggplant from my garden! I have been eating fresh tomato sandwiches all weekend..mmm.good!

There has been lots of work to do on the farm, trying to get ready for the big Farm Day on October 11! Tommy, Billy and My father will be selling Beefalo burgers and a pasta plate. i will be selling my jams/Jellies and anything else I can whip up between now and then, Linda will be selling her Mary-Kay Cosmetics, Michelle and Charlie will be selling yard sale stuff. We have lots of family coming up to hopefully help for the event. There will be other Vendors as well. hopefully will will get a lot of people! Pray for good weather! I figure there may be about 500 people over the course of the day! Hopefully! That's a lot of Beefalo Burgers!!! It's really nice to have animals on the Farm again.

Ms Lynn's birthday!!

Well, Ms Lynn thought she was going to pull a fast one today! Thank goodness Ms Seanna reminded me!! Ms Lynn has turned another year! Is that her praying to the porcelain god? MAYBE???? LOL...No.....She is playing Cinderella!! Seanna gladly picked up the cake for us today! We had candles, but chose to use the numbers 5 & 6 ...She really isn't 56 ...not today anyways! It was good! The kids enjoyed it! What a beautiful day (no week) it has been, the weather has been perfect! I was really slow moving today, ...Thank goodness for understanding girls! They pretty much let me do what I want, most of the time...I certainly do realize how lucky I am to have them! I have to say, the kids are really cute, when you really listen to what they have to say, they really do say the darndest things.. Seanna's baby has really one my heart over! He really gets me,...He actually belly laughs when I say something sarcastic! He is soooo cute!!! He just turned two! he really understands though!...Makes me laugh on a daily basis!
I was supposed to clean the office today! oops...I WILL GET IT DONE BY MONDAY!!! I promise! lol...There I put it in writing!! It's supposed to rain all weekend...I have lots to do!
My sister informed me that I could use a juicer to extract the seeds and skin from the grapes!!! Luckily my father has a one I can borrow! I will let you know how the jelly comes out! ok. well it's getting late! I have to get up early in the a.m.!

Monday!!

Well it is the end of another Monday! They come so quick! The older you get the faster time flies! remember when you were a kid and it seemed like forever when you were waiting for Santa to come, or just to wait in line to see a movie seemed like days on end... Well now, it's like a flash of light that goes by with each day...they all start to run into each other and then weeks months, and years go by!.....CRAZY!!! well, Ms Lynn brought me in the most beautiful grapes that her Father has grown and picked for me to make some grape jelly! I am still trying to figure out how I am going to extract those darn little seeds from the middles!... It is a challenge! I wish I had Lucy to stomp them!! Hahaha... Love that show! "I Love Lucy" How did I get off on that??? Oh, well... I also picked peaches off of a tree that my Mother had planted in her yard probably 25 or 30 years ago.. i don't recall ever getting peaches off of it before.. but I am going to try to make some peach cobbler..or something.. with them.. Daycare was great today. We talked about how a lot of children don't have Fathers. I had one little girl who was very upset because she hadn't seen her father in over 3 months. Just because he is not with the Mother. If people only realized how they affect children. In order to help her try to work through this emptiness, I tried to encourage the other children to talk obout their Fathers and how many of them only get to see their Fathers every other weekend, due to divorce, and also the many children who have Fathers and even Mothers who are serving our country. Many of these children do not get to see them for months and months or even years!!! I can't even imagine what these children must be feeling. I always have had my Father close by. The furthest he ever went when I was a kid was to work, and when we mis-behaved we DREADED the words... " WAIT 'TILL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME!"...Man how the tables have turned!
